The Good News Delivered by Luke declares CHRIST to be the God-promised Saviour of the Israelites and of mankind. Luke records that CHRIST was sent by GOD to preach the gospel to the poor. The good news focuses on the various needs of mankind. The tone of love is also evident in the book of Luke, especially in the opening clause announcing the coming of CHRIST and the last verse in which CHRIST is ascended to heaven.

But the angel said to him, “Zechariah, don’t be afraid. Your prayer has been heard by God.

Many of us pray for our needs but GOD never answer our prayer, Why? What makes GOD to hear Zechariahs prayer?  Zechariah and Elizabeth both lived good lives in God's sight and obeyed fully all the Lord's laws and commands. Do we fully obey all the Lord’s laws and His commands?

Matthew 5:18-19 CHRIST said I assure you that nothing will disappear from the law until heaven and earth are gone. The law will not lose even the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter until it has all been done. These shows Our Heavenly Father and CHRIST are working and they got their plan for us.

John 5:17 But CHRIST said to them, “My Father never stops working, and so I work too.” CHRIST came to this world to done whatever His Father want him to do. John 19:30 Jesus tasted the vinegar. Then he said, “It is finished.” He bowed his head and died.

“A person should obey every command in the law, even one that does not seem important. Whoever refuses to obey any command and teaches others not to obey it will be the least important in God’s kingdom.

The angel [Gabriel] came to her [Mary] and said, “Greetings! The Lord has blessed you and is with you.” “Don’t be afraid, Mary, because God is pleased with you. Mary said, “I am the Lord’s servant. Let this thing you have said happen to me!” Then the angel went away.

We can learn from Mary, HOLINESS [ By keeping herself virgin] OBEDIENT, TRUST and LOVE for GOD. Mary never said to the angel, I must seek advice and permission with my future husband or parents, but obedient to word of GOD and saying Let this thing you have said happen to me!”.

When I [Elizabeth] heard your voice [Mary], the baby [John the Baptist] inside me jumped with joy. Great blessings are yours because you believed what the Lord said to you! You believed this would happen.”

Mary believed that without physical man touch by the power of The Mighty GOD she will conceive a child.

Then Mary said, “I praise the Lord with all my heart. I am very happy because God is my Saviour. I am not important, but he has shown his care for me, his lowly servant. From now until the end of time, people will remember how much God blessed me. Yes, the Powerful One has done great things for me.    His name is very holy. He always gives mercy to those who worship him.

1 Samuel 1

There was a man named Elkanah. He had two wives. One wife was named Hannah and the other wife was named Peninnah had children, but Hannah did not. Every year Elkanah left his town of Ramah and went up to Shiloh. He worshiped the Lord All-Powerful at Shiloh and offered sacrifices to the Lord there. Peninnah always upset Hannah and made her feel bad because the Lord had not made her able to have children. One year when this happened, Hannah quietly got up and went to pray to the Lord. she cried the whole day she was praying to the Lord. She made a special promise to God and said, “Lord All-Powerful, you can see how sad I am. Remember me. Don’t forget me. If you will give me a son, I will give him to you. Hannah prayed to the Lord a long time. Eli was watching her mouth while she was praying. Hannah was praying in her heart. Her lips were moving, but since she did not say the words out loud, Eli thought she was drunk. Eli said to her, “You had too much to drink. Hannah answered, “Sir, I have not drunk. I am deeply troubled, and I was telling the Lord about all my problems.

We can learn from Hannah that she believed GOD, is the only person can solve her problems. She been facing this criticism very year with pain and tears. She asks for a son but she offer the son back to GOD. She prays and worship GOD in her heart but with tears. She praying for long hours.

From all these three people, we can learn many things, Holiness, Trust, Love, Obedient, Confident with whole hearted believed GOD is their Shelter and Provider.

2 Kings 4:33 So, he went in, closed the door behind the two of them, and prayed to the LORD.

Matthew 6:4 So that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks for what you have. And because you belong to Christ Jesus, God’s peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings. His peace can do this far better than our human minds.

John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, then you will ask for anything you wish, and you shall have it.
